Fax-Spam Litigation
The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), 47 U.S.C. § 227, restricts the use of the facsimile machine to deliver unsolicited advertisements.
Specifically, the TCPA prohibits the use of “any telephone facsimile machine, computer, or other device to send an unsolicited advertisement to a
telephone facsimile machine.” The TCPA applies only to those facsimile messages that constitute “unsolicited advertisements.”
The statutory prohibition applies to such advertisements sent both to residential and business facsimile numbers.

Drugs/Alcohol
Drugs are pervasive in our society. Adults and children use them; and on occasion, they get caught in possessing them or selling them. According to California state law, just two or three drinks are usually sufficient to
"impair" your driving and place you in jeopardy of losing your license.

Sex Crimes
Child Molestation: Child molestation cases are becoming more prevalent inso
far as the internet has enabled predators to gain access to the homes of savy
young computer victims. Parents are also under increased scrutiny and many
initial complaints are made by spouses involved in custody and other family
law disputes with the accused.
My most recent case involved siblings who viewed pornographic material
belonging to their parents and then engaged in experimental sexual conduct. The
teenage male was convicted of molesting his sister. However, my investigation
revealed that the claims of rape were exaggerated and were merely descriptive of
the events portrayed in the video which I obtained and presented in court. The rape
charges were dismissed and my client is serving nine months in a boy's school. I
was able to ensure that the young man will graduate with his high school friends.
Sex Cases: With the pervasive use of D.N.A. evidence, defense attorneys are
finding it difficult to refute evidence involving strangers having sex. However,
more commonly, the rape victim knows the suspect thereby preserving the
argument that the sex was consensual. The promiscuity of the victim is a key
defense strategy.
Statutory rape cases involve intensive investigative techniques. At times I am
able to prove that the minor was sexually active prior to any involvement with
my client. In such cases, the courts are much more willing to entertain sentencing
alternatives and dismissals
Expungements
Expungement: Expungement is the process of clearing one's record of a past
conviction. For immigration and other reasons, my clients ask my office to file a
petition to expunge their record. If you think that this is an option you wish to
explore, it helps if you have some basic information about your case (such as the

Protecting Talent:
In a suit filed by our firm entitled: MARCUS CHONG v. WARNER BROS., et al., we represented actor, Marcus Chong who appeared in the movie, The MATRIX. In a lawsuit we filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, it was alleged that Larry and Andy Waichowski (co-producers) conspired with their agent William Morris Agency to interfere with Chong's on-going salary negotiations with Warner Bros. Whereas Waichowski claims to have been only trying to do a "favor" for Chong, he and his agent caused salary negotiations with Warner Bros. to fail when Chong insisted that Warner Bros. negotiate only with his own agents who were trying to negotiate terms favorable to the actor. This firm represented Chong during a mandatory SAG arbitration, and ultimately settled the case on terms acceptable with Chong. The damage to Chong's reputation and career were of primary concern to us.
